Former Malaysian Bar President, Steven Thiru, Starts A New Firm.

0

There has been a shake-up in the legal industry.

Former Malaysian Bar President, Steven Thiru, has left his long-time firm Shook Lin & Bok.

He had joined the firm in 1992 as an associate and was later made partner in 2000.

That’s a whopping 26 years with the firm!

Even some of our writers are younger than that.

But where has he gone to?

Well, a new firm is now calling Mont Kiara home and it’s called Messrs Steven Thiru & Sudhar Partnership.

Yes, you guessed it.

Steven Thiru has gone on built a firm of his own. Partnering with the current President of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators and former colleague in Shook Lin & Bok, Sudharsanan Thillainathan.

The firm’s practice focuses exclusively on dispute resolution and the faces of some of its members might seem a bit familiar.

Nevertheless, this move will surely make an impact.

We at The CanLaw Report wishes both firms good luck in their endeavors and we can’t wait to see what other changes will be in the horizons.

Especially for the legal industry.
